Making a difference with Maths

Making a difference with Maths

Thursday 6 October     Main School Hall     6.30pm – 7.30pm

At Parents’ Evenings, we are often asked “How can I help my child with their Maths homework?”, and it is often noted how certain basic mathematics skills are taught in a different way to those used by previous generations.

For this reason we hold a fun-packed evening of mathematics each September to which all Year 7 students and their parents are invited.  The purpose of this session is to provide an opportunity to look at some practical ways in which parents can support their son/daughter in his/her mathematics studies at school and see the way the subject is taught today.

This year the evening will take place on Thursday 6 October in the School Hall, starting at 6.30pm and will finish at approximately 7.30pm. All Year 7 students have been given a letter regarding this event. PLEASE NOTE that the form accompanying the letter needs to be completed and returned to school by Friday 30 September at the latest. If for any reason your form has been mislaid, please contact Mrs Alcock on
