Sitting Exams & Collecting Results
Arrangements for results days and post-results support: summer 2022
A level and Level 3 Qualifications: Thursday 18 August 2022
GCSE and Level 2 Qualifications: Thursday 25 August 2022
Students will have a statement of grades sent to their school email accounts between 8.00 am – 8.30 am on results day. A paper statement of results will also be posted to the student’s home address, which will arrive in the days following.
If your son/daughter needs the password to their school email account to be reset, please email our Network Manager, Mr Wilsdon (firstname.lastname@example.org), also stating the student’s full name and form group.
We will provide post-results support for those students who need further advice or guidance. The easiest way to access this support is to attend a drop-in session 8.30 am until midday which will be held in the main hall on results day. If you are unable to attend the drop-in, please email the relevant member of staff and they will contact you in the afternoon.

If you believe that there has been a mistake in the marking of an exam then it is possible to request that the exam board completes a ‘review of marking’. This is when an examiner will check that the mark scheme has been applied correctly and update the mark and therefore potentially the overall grade if an error is found.
There is a charge per paper for this service, but money will be refunded in the event that an error is found by the exam board. It is also possible to pay for a copy of the exam script, but a remark cannot be requested after this has happened.
|Service||Cost||Deadline for submission|
|Priority review of marking (A level)||£65 per paper||Midday 25 August 2022|
|Review of marking (A level)||£50 per paper||Midday 29 September 2022|
|Review of marking (GCSE)||£45 per paper||Midday 29 September 2022|
|Copy of script (A level and GCSE)||£15 per paper||Midday 29 September 2022|
To request a review of marking, contact Mrs Hawker, Exams Manager (email@example.com).
Public exams can be a stressful time for students and parents/carers and it is important that all those involved are as well informed as possible. The school will make every effort to ensure that students receive the best possible preparation for their exams; that the administration arrangements run smoothly and that the exams are conducted in a way that will cause as little stress as possible and help students achieve their best.
We have included some information here together with the official exam board notices. Please don’t hesitate to contact the Examinations Manager during school hours if you have any queries.
The Examinations Officer is Mrs C Hawker.
