Humanities & Social Sciences
Geography, History, Ancient History, Philosophy & Ethics, Psychology, Politics and Sociology form the Humanities subjects at Burford School. Geography, History and Philosophy & Ethics are taught throughout all Key Stages. Ancient History, Psychology, Polotics and Sociology are available to students at Key Stage 5.
All subjects are taught by specialist teachers consisting of a Head of Department and subject specific teachers.
Each department benefits from a programme of enrichment. This can take the form of trips (often abroad in the case of History) and excursions, field trips and visits to conferences and forums.
At Key Stage 3 Geography and History are taught to form groups by specialists.
