    Dear Parents and Students

We are now looking forward to yet another busy and productive term at Burford School.  Our Sixth Form students will shortly be sitting their mock A-level exams which will give them a firm insight into the grades they are likely to achieve during the summer term.  The Community Choir, who sang so wonderfully at our Christmas Miscellany concerts, have started their rehearsals for  Vivaldi’s Gloria which will take place on 12 March and the school is buzzing once again with rehearsals for the Drama Departments production of The39 Steps. Students involved in this will be performing over four nights from 10-13 February.  Do join us if you can.

The Boarding Department will, once again, be open to visitors on Saturday 1 February.  Competition for places is high with parents now committing to boarding well in advance of their child’s expected arrival date.

Boarding Department Open Morning – Saturday 1 February 2020

    10.30am – 12.30pm  – Lenthal House, Lawrence Lane OX18 4RP

If you would like to visit the Boarding Department on a date other than 1 February, please contact Mrs Sarah Imms, Operations Manager in the Boarding Department, in the first instance, on 01993 823283.

The Boarding Department has now grown to just over 100 boarders  It is an excellent environment in which to take first steps towards independence, whilst still enjoying a warm and secure family atmosphere. With the increasing demand we are receiving for boarding places in every year group, I would encourage you to make an appointment to visit sooner rather than later to avoid disappointment. If your child is an accomplished musician, you may want to look into the Music Scholarships we offer boarding students.

We are also very happy to welcome parents and students looking for a day place, on any normal school day. Visits can be booked through Mrs Morse, our Admissions Officer on 01993 82303.
