Five Acts of Human Kindness

We are excited to launch tickets for the world premiere of Five Acts of Human Kindness, performed by the Burford School Community Choir, made up of staff, alumni, students and members of the local community.

Closing this year’s Burford Festival, the performance will take place at St John the Baptist Church.

This newly commissioned work for the Burford Institute of Music is by internationally renowned composer Bob Chilcott, who lives locally. With words by Charles Bennett, Five Acts of Human Kindness tells the stories of remarkable acts of generosity and selflessness that have helped make the world a better place.

The concert will be introduced by presenter and singer Brian Kay, and the programme will also include well-loved choral music by John Rutter, together with orchestral pieces by Edward Elgar and other English composers.
