A Level Results 2026: Among the Best in Burford's History
Congratulations, Class of 2026
Our warmest congratulations go to every student collecting results today. Students at Burford School are celebrating today after collecting one of the strongest sets of A Level results the school has ever achieved. Whether heading to university, an apprenticeship, employment or a year out, each has worked with real determination and we could not be prouder of them.
Thank you, too, to our teachers, support staff and families, whose encouragement has made these results possible. We wish the Class of 2026 every success in whatever comes next.
Across the board, this year's cohort of 114 students has excelled with record numbers of top grades, outstanding subject performances, and a remarkable range of university destinations. The results reflect the diligence of our students and the dedication and support of our staff.
"These are amongst our best ever results at Burford. We are incredibly pleased with them, as they represent the hard work of our students and the commitment and support of our staff."

Outstanding progress

Alps and FFT estimates place the school in the top 25% of sixth forms nationally.
No department placed in the bottom 25% for value added, compared with six departments last year.
Business, Chemistry, Computer Science, English Literature, History and Further Maths all placed in the top 25% for value added.
