Year 6 Transition

We recognise that moving to secondary school is one of the most significant changes in a child’s life and we take great care to ensure all our new Year 7 students are as prepared as possible through a programme of special induction events, student buddy scheme and support from our dedicated Transition Team.

While the majority of students join us from our Partnership Primary Schools, each year we welcome young people from many other primary schools. We work hard to make sure those students feel part of the year group from the outset and provide additional orientation days to support their transition.

Burford Partnership

The Burford Partnership is a group of nine primaries and one secondary school – Burford School.

The Partnership Schools work together to create activities throughout the year for young people in the area to take part in sport, music and academic study. Particular highlights include the Year 4 language day, the Year 2 music concert and a whole range of sports activities led by the Burford School student sports leaders.

Joining in Years 8 to 11

We occasionally have spaces for children to join us in Years 8 to 11.

If you are looking for a place in these years, please contact Admissions.
