Our senior boarders enjoy more flexibility in their routine, with greater independence around prep, free time and co-curricular activities. Relationships with boarding staff remain strong, and our team is always on hand to offer guidance, support and a listening ear when needed.
Evenings in the boarding house for senior pupils start with the chance to catch up with friends over a snack before enjoying time to relax, go to the gym, or take part in a variety of activities. Many boarders in Years 10 and 11 play an active role in school life and the wider community, joining local teams and clubs, volunteering, and working towards Duke of Edinburgh’s Awards.
After dinner, supervised homework takes place, during which senior boarders are encouraged to develop good study habits, be ambitious in their work and manage their time effectively. At weekends, boarders may choose to go home for a leave weekend or stay in to enjoy our busy programme of activities and trips. Whether relaxing with friends or preparing for the week ahead, we ensure there is always a warm, welcoming atmosphere in the boarding houses.
