You can choose from a wide range of A-Levels to suit your interests and needs, and take advantage of our outstanding career advice and applications support – whether your preferred pathway is university, an apprenticeship or work.

We have an excellent reputation for extra-curricular activities including the Duke of Edinburgh Award Scheme. Sixth Formers also continue to be active in Burford’s successful sports and performing arts programmes through our Athletic Foundation and The Burford Institute of Music.

Life in the Sixth Form

Not only do our enrichment and extension activities help you stand out in your personal statement, but they also offer the chance to build lasting friendships and create memories that will stay with you long after you leave Burford.

Our Sixth Form students enjoy their own distinct Sixth Form Centre, featuring a comfortable Common Room for lunch and relaxation, as well as spaces designed for collaborative work. Students also have access to the Sixth Form Reading Room, which includes an ICT suite, and our Library — both providing calm, quiet environments for focused, independent study.

As senior members of the school, Sixth Form students are not required to wear a uniform. However, we expect all students to maintain a smart, presentable appearance in line with our dress code.

Our aim is that every student leaves Burford as an independent, confident and resilient young person, ready to embrace life and make the most of every opportunity it brings.
