Burford School grateful for Foundation's contributions in 2023

As the year draws to close, we wish to recognise the substantial support we have received from the Burford School Foundation during 2023. 

An independent charity, the Burford School Foundation provides support to educational institutions attended by children who are residents in and around the immediate area of Burford. 

We are incredibly grateful to the Foundation’s contribution towards extra opportunities in the school, further enabling us to provide our students with the ‘best of education’: 

· Our Hardship Fund for 2023 

· Laptops for our History Department 

· Bookbuzz programme for Year 7 students, in support of our English Department’s literacy goals 

· VR Resources for our Computing Department and Club 

· Radioactivity apparatus for our Science Department 

· Sixth Form music including a Year 12 composition course 

· Duke of Edinburgh’s Award 

This is in addition to support for the new artificial hockey pitch, a superb resource for our students and the wider Burford community for many years to come, which we officially opened in June and was made only possible through the generosity of the Burford School Foundation.
