National Apprenticeship Week 2024

Here at Burford, we are committed to the highest possible quality of careers education, and actively promote both vocational and academic pathways, at all stages of students’ progress through the school.

National Apprenticeship Week (NAW) takes place this week (5 February – 11 February 2024), and as such we wish to celebrate our students who have pursued apprenticeships after their time with us.

In the past year, 7% of our Year 11 leavers and 7% of our Year 13 leavers have embarked on apprenticeships and are now undertaking placements in a wide variety of sectors, from defence, construction and engineering to beauty, education and law. These placements are in organisations of all sizes, of both local and national scale.

We also wish to thank all the superb organisations that continue to support our Careers Programme, helping our students to make informed decisions about their futures.
