Abi selected to join England U19 Women's Cricket Squad

Congratulations to Abi for being selected to join the England Women's U19 Cricket Squad on their tour of Sri Lanka.

Abi is currently in Year 13 and studying A levels in PE, Geography and Psychology. She plays cricket for the Southern Vipers out of school and has been made part of the Leadership group on this tour for England. Abi has appeared on ITV South and Ox Sports unleashed and is a fantastic role model for all students in our school and beyond.

Abi's cricket journey started within the Girls Under 11s Oxfordshire county age group at the age of 8 years old, later making her debut for the Oxfordshire Women's 1st team at the age of 13 years old.

Abi earned a spot in the Southern Vipers Academy in 2021, a cricket team that represents the South of England, and has retained her place since, progressing to make her senior debut in 2023.

As a part of the England Women's U19 Cricket Squad she will tour to Sri Lanka to take on the hosts and Australia in a Tri Series this summer.

This is a fantastic achievement and we wish Abi and her team every success for their tour.
