Burford School A-Level Results 2026: Best Performance in a Decade

Burford School has celebrated one of the strongest sets of A-Level results in its history, with students collecting their grades on results day, 13 August 2026.
Results at a glance
Independent value-added data places Burford School in the top 25% of sixth forms nationally. Close to 10% of all grades were A*. 30% of grades were A*-A. 60% of grades were A*-B. 20 students achieved at least one A* grade.

"This is one of the strongest sets of results in Burford's history. We could not be more delighted, and we know these achievements are the product of our students' hard work and the unwavering commitment and support of our staff."
Student success stories
Molly achieved A*A*A*A* and will study Natural Sciences at the University of Cambridge.
Finley achieved A*A*A in History and Politics and will attend the University of Cambridge.
Jessie achieved A*A*A* in History and Politics and will study at the London School of Economics.
Emily achieved AAA* and will study Politics at the University of Sheffield. Emily was delighted to have achieved higher than expected.
Charlotte achieved A*AA and will study Biochemistry at the University of Sheffield, doing better than expected and very pleased with her results.
Elias achieved A*A*AA and will study Mathematics at Durham University.
Joe achieved A*A*A and will study Physics at the University of Exeter.
The school was also delighted for Felix, who achieved straight As after deferring his place last year, and will now take up his offer to study History at the University of Oxford.
Many other students also achieved outstanding results across a wide range of subjects and destinations. Among the highlights, students achieved A*A*A*A in Physics with Astrophysics to progress to the University of Manchester, A*A*AA in Mathematics to Durham University, and A*A*A in Physics to the University of Exeter. Other standout results included A*A*A in Law to the University of Nottingham, A*AA in Law to the University of Manchester, and A*AA in International Relations to the University of Exeter, alongside AAA in Modern Languages and Cultures to Durham University and AAA in Veterinary Medicine to the University of Surrey.
Burford School is also proud that many students are progressing into the arts, with courses including Costume at Arts University Bournemouth, Professional Acting at the University of West London, and Fine Art at the University of the Arts London.
