Our Business and Enterprise department aims to develop our students’ understanding and knowledge of business-related issues and encourage their intellectual curiosity in business and enterprise, through the investigation and analysis of a broad range of contemporary business issues in the classroom.
To support curriculum learning, we offer all our Year 10 students the opportunity to participate in the Tenner Challenge, organised by Young Enterprise, allowing them to put their classroom learning into practice. While our Year 12 students can participate in the Company Programme, organised by Young Enterprise. Students work in a business team and set up and run their own company for one academic year. Our A-Level students also participate in an enrichment programme of visits, talks and competitions.
At Key Stage Four, we offer GCSE Business and Cambridge National in Enterprise and Marketing as options to students.
For more information, please read our Key Stage Four Curriculum Choices booklet.
Ahead of exam season, we have a Year 11 Curriculum Support Timetable in place to further support students in reaching for their potential at GCSE.
At Key Stage Five, we offer Business and Economics as A-Level options to students.
