At Key Stage Five, we offer Politics as an option to students.

Students explore the nature of politics and how people engage in political processes in the UK. Students are introduced to the major governmental processes within the UK and encouraged to develop a critical understanding of the role and effectiveness of key institutions such as the House of Commons, House of Lords and the Supreme Court. Students also compare what they have learnt about UK Politics with the US system. In this way, through the study of this course, students develop a critical awareness of the nature of politics and the relationship between political ideas, institutions and processes.

Classroom teaching is complemented by a guided tour of the Houses of Parliament.
